Ring: Elizabeth and James | Necklace: Hive & Honey | Dress: Ann Taylor [similar] | Sweater: Halogen [similar] | Belt: Calvin Klein | Tights: DKNY | Boots: Duo
This post could otherwise be titled “accessories I’ve been lusting after and finally purchased.” This necklace, as you know, has been on my list for ages – and when it went on sale, I snapped it right up. The ring is so fabulous that it didn’t even have to go on sale, which is a huge concession for me!
Because of the pop of the jewelry, I kept it simple with the clothes. This dress, a simple jersey-knit sheath that I got on sale at Ann Taylor ages ago, is a fantastic foundation piece: neutral and very basic in shape, but tremendously flattering. The blueish-green of the sweater does a great job offsetting the greenish-blue of the stone in the ring, and a wide belt gives an otherwise-conservative outfit a bit of va-va-voom.
Finally, because we’re still ankle-deep in snow in DC, I’ve got my omnipresent boots and tights. I can’t wait to go sockless again, one day.
