Sweater: H&M [similar] | Shirt: Gap | Skirt: J.Crew Factory [on sale; limited sizes]| Boots: Steve Madden [similar]
The fog has lifted, but when I was getting dressed this morning it was THICK. In trying to combat the dreariness of the day, I decided it was time to break out the sunshine – in skirt form. This is another post-Christmas find at J.Crew Factory. Seriously, if you are looking for a magical pencil skirt, all of their’s are winners. So far they are 4/4 in my closet.
When rocking a bright color, it’s best to pair with neutrals so that you let the statement piece really shine. I went with navy/ chambray and cognac. The navy mellows the yellow giving a more tailored feel. While the cognac boots and belt just kick it up so that the outfit looks less librarian. Throw on a chunky necklace to balance the open neckline and some simple earrings and you are on your way to a sunshiny day (yeah, that happened. Go ahead and click the link so you can jam out at your desk.)
Happy Wednesday, friends!
Just discovered this outfit selfish… And I am in love with this look! Keep these posts coming! 🙂
