Happy 2014, y’all! While I’m still in disbelief that enough time has passed that we’re in the new year already, it turns out to be true that time stops for no petite woman. I wanted my first office outfit of the year to be something with a bit of punch, but I also wanted to sleep in this morning. Thankfully, I’ve had this dress in the bullpen warming up for a few weeks.

This dress was a HUGE win at Neiman Marcus’s pre-holiday sale. Retailing at full price for $355, it was marked down to $213 before Christmas, and with one of their “additional % off sale items” promotions, I got this beauty for $170. When you can get a Shoshanna dress for Boden prices,  you don’t stop to ask questions. This dress is gorgeous – a beautiful peacock shade of green in a perfect fit. The v-neck has about 1.75″ of collar and the seaming is incredibly flattering.

An animal-print belt helps add just enough “extra” that this becomes an outfit. The boots are my beloved Duos and since it’s extra-cold out today I’ve got a pair of warm socks beneath them.
