Happy #cybermonday, folks! This is the world in which we live: stores open for Black Friday on Thursday, sales continue through the weekend, and Cyber Monday arrives with comparably little fanfare. With the exception of #givingtuesday (I AM in fundraising, after all), though, Cyber Monday is my favorite of the made-up shopping holidays. I don’t like the crowds that are guaranteed in-store, but Cyber Monday allows you to get the special prices without the aggravating people. I do most of my holiday shopping at this time.
There are plenty of fashion sites out there already outlining the great sales on today. You can go to Corporette if you’re looking for a comprehensive list – Kat always manages to put together a fabulous list every time there’s a big shopping sale day, and today’s no different. Instead, here are some pieces I’ve been eyeing that are even more marked down today. Bank account gods, will you smile on me?
Abree Sweater, Kate Spade
Kate Spade is offering an extra 30% off the entire website to include sale items using code CYBER30. I’ve been eyeing this sweater for ages (I’m pretty sure I used the word “darling” – which I NEVER use – to describe it at one point), but even though the $118 sale price is considerably lower than the original $198, it still seemed too high to justify. At $82 with the additional percentage off, this guy might get snapped up. That bow! The wide hem! Love every second of it.
Cashmere Tippi Sweater, J. Crew
J. Crew is also doing 30% off sitewide, plus free shipping on any order, regardless of price, with code MONDAY. This is a big deal, because jcrew.com normally has a $175 minimum to get free shipping. The Tippi sweater is my very favorite of their sweaters – the sleeves hit perfectly, and the collar is open without overexposure. With the discount, this sweater comes to just under $120, which, considering the quality of JC’s cashmere, is a worthy splurge.
Amelie Dress, Boden
Boden is also doing 30% off sitewide, no code necessary. This sweater dress caught my eye because of the shape – usually sweater dresses are for the more straight-up-and-down body types, but the flared skirt would skim my curvaceous hips perfectly. I love the combination of navy and burgundy, too. Boden’s petite section is legendary with or without the discount.
Halogen V-Neck Merino Cardigan, Nordstrom
Another favorite for its selection of petite options, Nordstrom‘s Black Friday online sale meshed with Cyber Monday, and the prices have been dropped all weekend. You don’t need any code. This sweater retails at $78, and I’d consider it a worthwhile purchase at that price, but a number of colors have been discounted to $46.80 for the sale. I already had it in forest green and magenta, thanks to the Semi-Annual Sale a few weeks back, and I wear those far too often, so this weekend I ordered navy and camel versions to further expand my work wardrobe. Well worth the purchase.
Not pictured: all the amazing Christmas gifts I ordered. FOR THE WIN.
In addition to these finds, it’s worth noting that Gilt is offering free shipping today, and 6pm (a favorite for steep discounts on shoes and bags) has tons of additional markdowns. Those two sites can be a bit of a rabbit hole, but if you’ve got some spare time and want to get some amazing deals, you’re likely to find them there.
What exciting Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals did you score?
