Sweater: J. Crew [similar] | Jeans: Paige | Glasses: Warby Parker | Moccasins: Minnetonka
This is a pretty typical Saturday outfit for me. I teach a class Saturday mornings and generally use the afternoon to run whatever errands I need. This outfit is comfortable but also feels put-together enough to command a classroom’s attention.
These jeans are actually intended to be ankle-length on a normal-height lady. Paige’s “skyline ankle,” AG’s “stilt,” and Madewell’s “skinny skinny ankle” cuts of denim are all intended as ankle-length skinnies, but are the perfect length (29.5″ inseam!) for a short lady like myself. BUT. Always refer to Commandment #8Ā when buying non-petite denim, particularly if there’s whiskering. Generally speaking, colored denim is monochromatic, so it’s pretty safe to buy non-petite colored ankle jeans. If you spot any fading, though, make no assumptions: try those jeans on.
