Welcome to Petite Curves Ahead! More to come soon on the genesis of this here blog, but for today, the first of many #outfitselfie photos. This one was put together for what promised to be a very windy day. I love the oxblood color of this skirt in the colder months, and the double-serge wool it is made from is incredibly cozy. The menswear style of the jacket and the soft wrap of the shirt offset one another, and the gold jewelry is simultaneously classic and edgy. I got the tortoise-and-gold watch years ago and rediscovered it recently; it has been at least a month since I’ve worn anything else.
The real game changer, however, are the tights. PETITE TIGHTS. Unfortunately, DKNY chooses to label this size as “petite plus,” which is going to be a semantic turn-off for many women who don’t identify as “plus,” but they are built to fit any sub-5’4″ lady with junk in her trunk. I hadn’t realized how uncomfortable I’d been forcing myself to be with tights until the first time I wore these and, after running to catch a departing bus, realized I didn’t have to readjust. Petite tights, ladies. You’re welcome.
